Recommendation: Take the 49ers to win if they go down early in the first half.
In 2020, the 49ers are 1-0 after a loss with an attempt this week to double up on that record. In 2019, the team went 3-0 after a loss with Shanahan at the helm.
The 49ers offensive and defensive ranks have been ravaged by injuries and the ailing Garoppolo will be back under center. It’s great timing because the Dolphins are giving up over 300 yards in the air. The Niners look to feature Kittle (coming off a monster game back himself from injury), Samuel (back last week) and Aiyuk who made a spectacular hurdle to score a TD in last week’s game:
The niners run game is poised to get rumbling as well – the Dolphins allowed ~125 yards on the ground. The 49ers were 2nd in the NFL in 2019 averaging 144.1 yards on the ground. In 2020, without Breida and Staley the 49ers are averaging 128.5 yards – 11th in the league.
Also to note, in 2019 the 49ers were 2-0 against teams with winnings records after a loss and 1-0 against teams with losing records. In 2020, they faced the 0-1 Jets in New Jersey and won. The Dolphins are 0-4 on the season and this looks to be a notch in belt game with 6 of the next 7 games against teams with winning records for the 49ers.
